The puzzle is a precursor to the board game “Opt to Adopt” being created for The Mesabi Humane Society to provide to similar organizations around the U.S. and beyond. The interactive game teaches players about dogs and cats and the shelters that rescue these pets while they wait for their furever homes. Participants travel from room to room in a fictitious shelter. They learn about the care of pets and ways to support their local shelter, such as by volunteering.
